Denver-Based Agency Welcomes Local Residential Interior Painting Company

Denver, Colo. April 20, 2011- Duo Marketing & PR, a boutique marketing and public relations agency in Denver, announces new client One Coat Painting – a residential paint company specializing in interior painting in the Denver-Metro area.

One Coat Painting focuses on residential interiors to provide better, faster and more efficient services while maintaining high quality standards. The owner, Nick May, has been in the painting industry for more than ten years, and in his experience he found that 80 percent of all jobs only dealt with walls and ceilings inside the home, which led to his concept to hone in on this specialty. May also wanted to harness the power of the web, which led to the creation of the company’s user-friendly online estimating system for paint jobs that allows customers to receive estimates by entering room dimensions. Additionally, May is known as the “Color Master” and offers color consulting for clients.

The first thing that you think of when you are setting an appointment with a marketing agency is about the multiple ways they are going to overextend your budget to do high end marketing that you don't actually need. The secret to DUO is that they know how to implement the large scale marketing techniques on a simpler, more local scale for smaller budgets. DUO Marketing and PR is an attractive company for small business and non-profits run by attractive women. The whole experience makes for a pleasant meeting.

The company was founded by two women; Autumn Metcalfe and Maya Ellman. Both graduated from the University of Colorado in Boulder and then moved to the coasts to follow their respective career paths. Maya moved to San Diego where she was a journalist for multiple media outlets including the Associated Press and was most recently a PR executive for a PR agency. Autumn moved to Manhattan where she worked for business giants such as Estee Lauder and Deutsche Bank. Both women eventually tired of the corporate world and decided to move back to Colorado, where the speed of life is a bit slower and people actually take the time to say hello to a stranger on the streets.

When they got home they decided that they would put their experiences together and build something that they believed in, and thus DUO Marketing and PR was born. A new breed of agency, a virtual agency that focuses on building small businesses and non-profits. An agency with a heart and some personality. They decided that if they can manage to run that agency through a virtual office that they would be able to keep overhead costs at a minimum and that they would be able to attract companies that do not have the budget to hire a traditional agency, and by doing so have created a niche' for themselves.

Speaking with DUO you find that they truly enjoy being creative with they ways they work with their clients. They use a lot of social media and public relations tactics to keep costs low but attain the maximum audience. DUO focuses on the client relationship rather than the bottom line, which is a refreshing change of pace. They believe in being available to their clients 24/7 and that no matter how large they may grow to never lose that one on one feeling that you can only get from a small and personable agency. Speaking with the two you find yourself invigorated for what they do because of the positive energy that they give. They know that they are doing something that they believe in whole-heartedly.

One of their favorite clients is MaxFund, a non-profit, no kill animal shelter based in Denver. They are the only no-kill animal shelter in the Denver area. This means that no matter what, they never put down an animal. They are gaining a lot of support from the community through events such as the MaxFund chili cook-off to help raise awareness for their mission and hopefully some new sponsors, donors or maybe even some adoptive owners.
